Launching the Future of Aviation Engineering
Aviation engineers play a vital role in both national defense and civil aviation. With the government estimating a need for 20 new aviation engineers every year, the demand is clear—and growing.
In the fall of 2024, NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology) responded by launching the Nordic region’s only Bachelor's degree in Aviation Engineering, offering 25 coveted spots. With a brand-new program on the runway, creating awareness and sparking interest among potential applicants was absolutely critical.
We teamed up with NTNU, Norwegian, the Armed Forces, and CHC Helicopter Service to develop a recruitment campaign designed to do just that. The goal? Capture attention, ignite ambition, and drive applications.
We produced a series of cinematic films for theatres and social media, showcasing the exciting career paths waiting for graduates. Each film ended with a bold challenge:
“Are you one of the first 25?”
The campaign took off. Interest soared, and we surpassed our goal with flying colours. By the application deadline, 1,900 students had listed the Aviation Engineering Bachelor on their application forms—453 of them as their top choice.
The result? One of Norway’s most sought-after study programs, and a promising future for aviation safety in the years to come.
